滿江紅又稱羽葉滿江紅。葉互生排成2列(均指浮在水面的部分),呈長方形狀。葉浮水部份疏生,表面有明顯的小突起,根上的根毛宿存。冬天葉下表面會變成紅色,上表面仍維持綠色。
