Physarum cinereum

Overview
Plasmodium watery-white or yellow. Sporocarpous to short plasmodiocarpous, 0.3-0.5 mm diam., sessile, gregarious, crowded or heaped, subglobose, or elongate, calcareous, white or grey, or nearly limeless. Peridium single, thin, ± densely coated or flecked with lime. Columella absent. Capillitium abundant, the nodes often angular and with the calcareous deposits extending into the internodes. Spore-mass purplish brown. Spores clear violaceous, verruculose, (7-)9-12 µm diam.
